Children's literature is an inexhaustible fountain of resources for planning all sorts of language activities. Literature is a valuable way to:
- introduce new vocabulary
- introduce grammatical structures
- extend pupil's language
- extend pupil's knowledge.

WRITING A LETTER
What kind of pet would you like from the zoo? A big animal? a scary animal? The zoo is not doing very well...maybe we could write a letter to the zoo to complain about it. And if they send us the right pet, we could write a letter to the zoo to say "thank you".
